No more studying.
No more online learning.
Are you ready for summer?

NEWSLETTER TRANSITION
Although we are not taking a break from the important planning for next school year, we ARE taking a break from sending out our weekly We Are All WDMCS.
We will continue to update you on many topics over the summer. You just won't see this newsletter each Friday for while.
If you ever have questions, please email scroffice@wdmcs.org.
We Need YOUR Input: Planning for 2020-21
This spring was unexpected, unfair, and most likely difficult for you. Although we couldn’t have predicted or prevented the impact of COVID-19 on our school year, we DO want to plan ahead so next year is a better experience for your family.
Your voice is critical in helping us understand how to best serve you and your students. Please take just a few minutes to share your opinions with us.
Each survey will get your input on how technology worked for you, the most successful ways you feel teachers connected with students, and areas of needed support to remove barriers you faced this spring. Please click the "parent" or "student" survey link below to provide your input by Monday, June 8.
July and August Activities
Based on guidance from Gov. Reynolds and the Iowa Department of Education, we can now provide more information on WDMCS summer activities. WDMCS will continue to follow the guidance of the state and national health agencies, along with direction from Gov. Reynolds, to help protect our staff and students.
ATHLETIC CAMPS
Some WDMCS athletic camps may be offered starting in July. More information will be shared in the coming weeks.
COMMUNITY EDUCATION
Although Community Education programs were canceled through June 30, we continue to evaluate the remaining summer programs that were originally scheduled for July and those that could be postponed until July. We will keep you informed as we receive further guidance from state authorities and make decisions about these opportunities.
KIDS WEST CHILD CARE
Beginning July 6, Kids West will offer child care. Families who had registered for summer were contacted to determine if they were still interested in having their children attend.
FACILITIES
WDMCS facility rentals will be available starting July 1. Valley Stadium will be available for rental in June.
Valley High School's commencement is currently scheduled to be held at Valley Stadium the weekend of June 27-28. More details about this exciting celebration will be shared soon.
