BrainPOP Update
LEISD Portal on iPads
The LEISD Portal (also known as RapidIdentity) will give Students access to district purchased resources such as HMH’s ED, Clever, Canvas, BrainPop Jr., etc.
There are a few things to be aware of:
To begin, teachers will need to print the QR badges for students provided by RapidIdentity. Select this link for directions on how to print RapidIdentity QR badges. (This is for PreK-2 students only.)
Students must log out of the LEISD Portal in order for another student to log in. Please see the directions in this document for how to do so.
RapidIdentity will NOT work on older iPads (such as the iPad 2s in black leather cases). These devices do not have the ability to scan a QR code within the browser which is needed for students to login to the Portal.
Imagine Math and Imagine Math Facts: Please see this Doc for specifics.
HMH's Ed and iRead: Students will access Ed via the LEISD Portal. Once they are logged into Ed, they can select iRead. *You must have the iRead app downloaded to the device from Self Service in order for students to access iRead.

Tool of the Week: Grammarly
NEW: Detect your tone Grammarly’s built-in tone detector helps you figure out how your message will come across to readers. That means you’ll have the opportunity to add a little more confidence, friendliness, or whatever the situation calls for before you hit send.
Grammarly is available as a free Chrome extension, with paid upgrades available (but the free version works great!)

Canvas: Google Cloud Assignments
You can create an online assignment that embeds a document directly from your Google Drive folder. Accepted assignment types are Google Documents, Spreadsheets, and Slides. When students open the assignment, Google Drive will create a copy of the file as the student’s submission. Students can make changes per the assignment instructions directly from the Canvas assignment page. When they are ready to submit the assignment, they can submit the assignment. The copied document is also added to the student’s Google Drive folder for the course.
Note, you can also view each student's document copy in SpeedGrader for grading. Submitted assignments are converted to a PDF to show the assignment at the time of submission. If students made any changes to their assignment, they will have to resubmit it for the changes to be visible in SpeedGrader.
