MUHS Library News

November 2015

In this month's edition...

...you will learn about how you can help determine if your students have the information literacy skills necessary for after high school. Also, read on to learn about the library's NEW collection of eBooks and the upcoming staff book clubs, read an announcement about Tech Tuesdays, and see some new tech available for you to check out in the library.

TRAILS

Are you an information ninja? How about your students? Find out by using TRAILS (www.trails-9.org)--the tool for real-time assessment of information literacy skills--with your students.

Want to see what TRAILS can do? I've set up an assessment just for YOU! Can you pass the 12th grade Using Information Ethically & Responsibly assessment? After you take it, see Stacy in the library to see if you are indeed an information ninja!

Tech Tuesdays

Chris Johnstone and I will be offering "Tech Tuesdays" every other Tuesday (mostly) from 3:15-3:45pm in the library. The first Tech Tuesday will be November 10th and focus on the ins and outs of using Microsoft Publisher.

For more information about upcoming Tech Tuesdays (for November and December) download this flyer. Or go to: https://tockify.com/muhslibrary/agenda

Recording Studios

We have two new mobile recording studios available for you to checkout to use with your students. Why use a good mic? Here's a video from Chris comparing a laptop mic to our new studios!
