Tonya Middling - Principal

Kristin Hillius - Assistant Principal

Dear Parents and Families,

We are so extremely happy to have all grade levels now back in school! Here are some important details to know:

  • Grades 3, 4, 5 will attend in person two days a week, and remotely two days.
  • Wednesday continues to be asynchronous.
  • Cohort A attends Monday/Thursday.
  • Cohort B attends Tuesday/Friday.
  • Students can be dropped off at 9:20 or ride the bus.
  • Students leave school at 3:05.
  • Breakfast (*Starting Monday, March 1st) and Lunch is served for all students in-person; for 3rd-5th, they will pick up a breakfast to go home for the next day.
  • Parents MUST complete the health check email by 8:30 each day, and for each student. Students who do not have a completed health attestation will not be allowed in class until a health screening has been completed and parents have been called.

For those staying online, our remote learning times changed to Cohort A 9:15-11:45 and Cohort B 12:25-2:55. Our remote teachers are Mrs. Rooney (1st gr), Mrs. Dyer (3rd Grade), Mrs. Brastad (4th Grade), and Ms. Templin (5th Grade). Some of our Kinder and 2nd grade remote students have been re-assigned to teachers from another Franklin Pierce elementary school, but once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat!

I'm so proud of our students and families. Thank you for your commitment to your students' learning!

It's great to be a Wildcat!

~Mrs. Middling

Action Required: School Daily Symptom Check by 8:30am

Each day, before your child comes to school, a health attestation must be completed. You will find an email with the subject line of 'School Health Check'. Please make sure you open this email and complete the survey. You can opt to have the survey sent to you via a text message which many find more convenient.

If the survey is not completed before your child arrives at the school, your child will be kept in an isolation area until we can contact you and you are able to complete it.

The School Health Check is an important part of our school district's plan to keep students and staff healthy during this pandemic. Thank you for your cooperation!

Message from the Nurse

Just a reminder that state law prohibits students bringing any medication, including OTC (Over The Counter) meds to school.

  • Students NEVER bring medications; an adult must bring to the health room.
  • ALL medications MUST have a Health Care Provider/Doctor order here to allow the administering by a nurse or trained staff.
  • Any addition questions, please call our Nurse, Tami Lengyel at (253) 298-3208

Important Bus Information

With our return to in-person learning come many considerations. One thing to work out is our transportation. All students received bus information in the fall on a postcard mailed to the address on file. Although the bus stops on the postcard are still correct, the times are now incorrect. For updated times the bus will pick up and drop off your student, please use the E-LINK SITE and type in the following information:

Username: guest

Password: guest

Then enter your child's grade level and address in the indicated fields. Your child's bus route and pick up and drop off times will appear.

It is important to check back a few days prior to the start of school as route schedules change as more students are enrolled.
