CGES Black Bears Newsletter

Your Journey Starts Here - January 7th, 2020

Welcome Back!

Dear CGES Family,

We had a great day kicking off 2020 and the Spring semester! I hope everyone enjoyed their student's time off and are ready to have a great second semester.

Please be on the lookout for the 2nd 9-weeks report card as it will be coming home this Friday.

Also, the 100th day of school is on Wednesday, January 22nd. Many of our classrooms will be completing small projects and crafts to celebrate this milestone. Please be on the lookout for any information or request for materials coming home. We would also like to celebrate the 100th day by inviting all students to dress like a 100 year-old or wear items celebrating the number 100.

Go Black Bears!

The second semester of the school year always includes State testing. At CGES we know that your student is much more than a test score! No child can be defined by their performance on a single assessment. We do hope that all of our children learn to give their best in all that they do. I believe that anything in our life that has our name on it should reflect our best effort. Please join us this semester in instilling this attitude within your student. We know they are capable of achieving great things and hope that we are able to demonstrate that in all we do.

AR Million Word Readers!

We would like to recognize our newest Million Word Challenge winner Brooklyn Burks!

Who's next?

Working Hard!

I wanted to take a moment to thank all of our CGES faculty and staff for all of their hard work and dedication. These individuals spend countless hours planning and preparing engaging and meaningful lessons for our students. They are not afraid to thing outside of the box and are always willing to go the extra mile! I am truly blessed to be able to work with such an amazing group of educators!

Thank You Volunteers!

We ended 2019 with many great classroom celebrations. Thank you to all of the CGES family for providing food/drinks and volunteering your time to assist within the classrooms. It was a great day!
