He was a Russian czar in the late 17th hundreds. He is best known for his extensive reforms in an attempt to establish Russia as a great nation. He was born on June 9, 1672 and died on February 8, 1725.
Accomplishments
Under Peters leadership Russia become one of the most powerful states with Europe. He controlled the church and the nobles. He imported western technology, improved education, and simplified the Russian Alphabet.

Peter the great is very loyal to his people. He is also very responsible and very unique. He was loyal, responsible and unique because he was responsible for the westernization of Russia in the 18th century and was nice to all people that followed his instructions
Early reign
Peter reorganized the Russian army along modern lines and dreamed of making Russia a maritime power. Peter knew that Russia could not face the Ottoman Empire alone. In 1697 he traveled to Europe on an 18-month journey with a large Russian delegation to seek the European monarch.
