PTO Meeting, Art Show & STEAM NIGHT = SUCCESS!

Thank you to everyone that participated in Dyer's STEAM Night on Thursday! We had over 650 people in attendance! From the looks of it, fun was had by all. If you did not get a chance to purchase your child's artwork at the show, it's not too late. See below for more info.

We also had a fantastic turn-out for our PTO General Membership meeting earlier that evening. Dyer's parent involvement is a huge part of our school's success. We have some exciting leadership opportunities for our 2018-2019 PTO, be on the look out for more information in the coming weeks!

Georgia Parent Survey

Please help us improve our school by taking a few minutes to complete an important survey for the State of Georgia.

The Georgia Parent Survey is from the State of Georgia and assists with our College and Career Readiness Climate Star Rating. You may complete the State survey on your computer, smartphone, or tablet or in the Dyer Media Center. We would like ALL parents to complete this State survey, and all responses are anonymously submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. Please click here to access the State survey.

We hope you will take a few minutes to complete this important survey to help us improve Dyer Elementary. Thanks for your support!

Bear Reader Program

The Bear Reader Program has begun. There are no special reading logs required. We are asking that the students read at least 20 minutes for five days of the week. The students already have reading logs that they have as part of their homework. Fill out the homework reading log every day. At the end of each month, the teachers will e-mail Mrs. Langford with the names of the students who have read at least 20 minutes for five days of the week. The students who complete this monthly reading goal will earn a brag tag. Brag tags are fun dog tags. The children will be able to collect a new brag tag at the end of each month. Let's see who can collect them all!

Birthday Wishes in Big Lights!

You may have noticed that birthdays can now be displayed on our school marquee. For just $5, you can wish your student a happy birthday during his/her birthday week. All proceeds benefit our "PAWS" initiative. (Summer birthdays will run during the last week of school, and during your child's birthday week.) To register your child, simply log into their MyPaymentsPlus account. Note: please allow one business day for processing.

Yearbook Orders - Deadline Extended!

The deadline to order the yearbook at $30 has been extended until next Friday. One more week to order books at $30 and then they will go up to $35, order a copy today! Simply log on to and enter our school's order number: 10768.
