June 8, 2021 Parent Update

Big picture

Greetings Imagine Broward Families!

As our year together comes to end, we want to thank you for everything! Parents, you have been our superheroes. We truly are a family. This has been a year of many firsts and even though there have been challenges, we had many celebrations. As we plan for the start of school in August, we are excited to be able to have all students back on campus next school year. The state has communicated that all students will be in person for the next school year. Updates on mask mandates will be communicated as we receive them. We can't wait to see you and hopefully get back to a great new year of normalcy.

Goodbyes

We must say goodbye to our cherished Assistant Principal. Although we will feel a great loss, we are also excited for Ms. Misha Fletcher as she begins a new adventure.

"Dear Parents/Guardians,

It is with heartfelt words that I write this letter to inform you that as of the end of the school year I will be leaving the position of assistant principal of Imagine School at Broward and beginning in a new position as assistant principal at a high school in North Carolina. Although I will miss my work with our school family, I look forward to the challenges this new position has to offer.

It has been a pleasure to serve first as a teacher and then as your assistant principal at this school since August 2013. I hope you know how much I have enjoyed these last 7 years. It has been my good fortune to experience a wonderful partnership with the students, staff and families.

I would like to thank you for the opportunity to serve you, your children and this outstanding school community and hope you know I am especially proud of our students. I have been humbled by how you have embraced me and trusted me as a teacher and leader. It is not easy to say goodbye, but I look forward to hearing all the great things about our students accomplishments as they continue their education at Imagine School at Broward and beyond."

Laptop Return

As we approach the end of the school year, we want to communicate the laptop return to our school. All devices checked out, must be returned to the school by Friday June 10 so our tech team can begin preparing laptops for summer learning activities and the start of school in August. If you are currently not using your school issued device, we ask that you contact us for early return. Otherwise devices can be returned on Wednesday June 9 at a scheduled time with signupgenius. Click here to sign up for your return time. If you can return it early, please contact Mrs. Jessica Tabora at jessica.tabora@imagineschools.org.

Graduation and Moving Up Celebration Parades

We had two moving celebration parades for Kindergarten and 5th grade. Please see the photos below. Tonight at 6:30 we will be saying goodbye to our 8th graders. Most have been here since Kindergarten and all will be greatly missed.

School Supplies

It is that time of year to begin planning for the next school year. We are once again using EPI for a school supply fundraiser. Teachers choose the items on the supply list for your convenience. Buy your supplies by June 13th. Flyer is attached here.

Summer Camp

We will be having summer camp this year at Imagine School at Broward for incoming VPK to 8th grade students. We will be having fun and education all wrapped into one, making our campers have a brighter future. With a certified math and science teacher as a counselor, campers will be engaging in science projects and STEAM activities. It will run for 7 weeks from June 14 to July 30. Registration forms are here. Fill out the form and either return it to the front office or email it to roni.prager@imagineschools.org.
