Dear Parents and Isham Students,
Our Third graders hosted an amazing biography night last week called the Wax Museum. Students loved pairing their reports with a costume and talking about their special person.
Students attended the 24 Tournament in Medina and enjoyed showing their skills as mathematicians. Everyone enjoyed meeting with fellow math whizzes to test their skills at Cloverleaf.
This week we are reading Dr. Seuss books as part of our tribute to Theodore Geisel. We even have a quiz to name the eleven pictures which represent some of his finest books. Take a moment to reread these classics. They are more than just words teaching lessons as they go.
We will dress as our favorite Dr. Seuss Character on Monday, March 4th.
We are already planning the Class of 2032 which we welcomed on Monday, February 25. On-line registration begins Tuesday, February 26. Spring screening times will be at Overlook on Friday, March 15 and 22. There will also be an evening meeting for parents to have students screened March 26. This will give our new kindergarteners an opportunity to show what they know.
Think about encouraging your third or fourth grader to share their talent at our Third/Fourth Grade Talent Show on Thursday, March 28 at 7 p.m. Practices will occur on 3/18, 3/21, 3/22 with performers required to attend prior to the show. Our Showcase of Smiles for K-2 was amazing.
Enjoy Spring.
Yours for kids,
Mrs. Watts

Family Build Challenge and Invention Convention
Families will design projects or a challenge using paper towel tubes, two liter clean bottles, and lots of duct tape. The results-a good clean time had by all.
In addition, our students K-4 are encouraged to participate in Invention Convention. Students design an invention with a presentation tri-fold board of their hypothesis, experiment, and conclusion as to why their invention meets the needs of an undeveloped area. Students will have their inventions displayed on Thursday, March 21 at Valley View. Judging in separate categories will group common projects. More information for our scientists will be forthcoming. Plan now on having an exhibit. The good news--more than one child can work on the project. All gifted students with Mrs. Gray are required to participate.
