Daily Life in Ancient China

Family Life

In Ancient China the father was in charge of the house, the wife and children had to obey him at all times. The Mother had to take care of home and raise children. Also in Ancient China the people didn't get to pick who they married their parents picked for them. A big part of the Chinese culture was to respect their elders and children had to respect their parents/Guardians.

Schools in Ancient China were different only wealthy boys went to school, and girls didn't go to school. In school they had to use calligraphy to learn how to write. They studied poetry and Confucius (A Chinese Philosopher and teacher). These were important skills for government officials.
