Check it Out!
The Corkran Middle School Media Center Bulletin Spring 2019
Meet our New Residents
The Media Center recently installed a 20-gallon community freshwater aquarium. Fish tanks have been shown to reduce stress and enhance relaxation and it has become a focal point for students when they visit. Students can view information on the residents that currently inhabit the Media Center and be educated on the care of the species. They can also learn about the requirements for fish keeping, water chemistry, and equipment. It is hoped, that by viewing the aquarium and learning about the ecosystem, students will increase their interest in life science and other STEM-related topics. Come check out our tetras and catfish!
