In case you haven't noticed, there are only a few days before you are #FREDBOUND!

Classes officially start on Monday, August 21!

The whole campus is buzzing during move-in with events for all students, here are few you might want to plan to participate in:


Friday, August 18

Don't Dine Alone

4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m - Cranston Marche

If you are here for orientation and haven't meet people to eat with, don't worry!

Come join an upperclassmen for dinner, they are so excited to meet you and answer any questions you might have.


Are You Smarter than a College Student?

7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.- Williams Center, Multipurpose Room

Get to know some other first-year students within your major by participating in our pop-culture-themed trivia game!


Residence Life Meet-Ups

8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.- Assigned Residence Halls

Participate in some fun programs and meet other students in your residence hall!


Saturday, August 19

Welcome Tent

9:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.- Between Williams Center and Gregory Hall

Not sure where to go or what to do? Stop by for a campus tour or map, have your questions answered, and enjoy live music! Look for a something new every hour in the afternoon and free food begins at 12:00 p.m.! Hosted by Tau Sigma, Alpha Lambda Delta and Golden Key

11:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.- Welcome Tent (Between the Williams Center and Gregory Hall)

Need help finding your classes? We have Fredonia students stationed at this location to personally guide you through our academic buildings, or help you find any other popular place on campus!


Mingles and Meetings

1:30 p.m.- 2:30 p.m.- Various locations

Special interest group meetings for incoming students by invite only.

New Student Convocation

3:00 p.m.- 4:30 p.m. - King Concert Hall

Required for all new students

Official academic celebration for in-coming new first-year and transfer students. (Students only- not enough room for family)


Ice Cream Social

4:15 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. - Williams Center, Multipurpose Room

Welcome to SUNY Fredonia!

Solar Eclipse Party on August 21st!

Meet the Department of Physics in the field next to the Science Center to witness this astronomical event! There will be solar-watching gadgets available such as solar glasses, binoculars with solar filters, and a solar telescope.


The maximum eclipse is around 2:30p.m., but the event runs from 1:00p.m.- 4 p.m.


In case of rain, or if you just don't want to view it outside, there will also be a NASA live stream of the eclipse in the William Center's Multipurpose Room!

Roommate and Housing Assignments were sent out via email the first week of August!

If you haven't completed the housing application and you want to live on campus this fall make sure to contact Residence Life.


Remember to bring back your FREDCard!

FSA will be open during Move-In Weekend.


Don't forget all tuition bills are electronic and can be found online!

Contact the Student Accounts Office if you need help with this.
