Cultural Convergence/Divergence

Ancient India was a common Hindu culture but Islamic influences came and led India to become divided into Hindu and Muslim areas. This hindu area is what is now India and Pakistan is the Islamic area.


After WWII many all of Eastern Europe and Russia was under control of the Soviet Union. Until the 1980's these countries were under communist rule. Now these countries are more democratic.


In the past 15 years English has spread all across the world via business. The universal language of business is English just like the universal measurement I'm science is the metric system.


Technology has been spread throughout the world with companies going international. Examples are toshiba and apple both the companies started out in one country and now ten years later are global and many countries have their products.


The Olympics and the World Cup have brought many countries together. Sports are things that every country has in common.
