A look into our week..
Holy Trinity Families,
This week we began the second semester and we are half-way through our MAP tests. We take a growth mindset approach to testing so please continue to reinforce this at home. We are not looking for perfection on tests or in our classrooms but for students to bring the best version of themselves every day and focus on individual growth.
Looking at our health protocols, we did want to provide an update on the current situation. We are currently at zero Covid cases in our building as we have seen a significant decrease in our cases since the break. Our meetings with Lorain County Public Health have affirmed this trend county-wide and throughout NE Ohio.
At this point we have made the decision to move back to a mask optional environment effective Monday, January 24th. Please note that per our health commissioner, the latest data has shown that the only effective masks against this variant are N95's or surgical masks. At this time masks are still required for bussing and for all school mass. Please continue to keep sick children at home. If you are in need of a Covid test we do have a supply for students in the nurse's office. Please contact Mrs. Woidke if you are in need of a test.
We are coming up on our annual spaghetti dinner and open houses next weekend. We hope to see you stop in to find your child's artwork during our annual art show. Mrs. Joyce is preparing a piece to go on display from every student! If you have not re-registered your child for next year the deadline is today. We ask that you please secure your place on the roster as open enrollment will begin next week.
Finally, please rsvp for our night at the races event coming in March. PTU planning is underway and we need preliminary numbers to plan accordingly. Ticket information is coming soon.
Blessings,
Kim Kuchta and Mike Modzeleski

The CDC recently reduced the quarantine guidelines as can be seen in the document (CDC guidelines).
If a student tests positive for Covid they will be required to stay home for 5 days. The first day of symptoms is considered day 0. If there are no symptoms, day of positive test taken is considered day 0. If they have no symptoms or improving symptoms they can return to school on day 6.
Students who are exposed by a household member and are vaccinated may return to school. (Must wear a mask for 10 days)
Students who are exposed by a household member and are not vaccinated will be required to stay home for 5 days. If symptom free they can return to school on day 6. If presenting symptoms they will need to test negative to return to school. (Must wear a mask for 10 days)
For more information on the revised guidelines from ODH please visit their website: CDC guidelines.
If you have chosen to vaccinate your child, please send a copy of their vaccination to noreen.woidke@htsavon.org for their file.
