Teen Pregnancy

Statistics of teen pregnancy
  1. number of births per 1000 teen girls , age 15-19 years old
  2. 820,000 teens become pregnant each year
  3. 34% of the teens have at least one pregnancy before they turn 20 years old.
Problems in teen pregnancy :
  1. One parent doesn't want to help the other
  2. don't know baby father
  3. involves in education
ways to prevent pregnancy:
  2. wrap it up(LOL)
  3. Birth control


common mental disorders that presents with depressed mood, lost of interest in activities.
  1. always wanting to be alone
  2. wants or does cause self harm to oneself
  3. talks as if there's no purpose in life

  1. 25% of cancer patients are depressed
  2. affects about 14.8 million American adults or about 67% of the us population
  3. 10-27% of people who experienced strokes are depressed
  1. get help (see a psychologist)
  2. Try to keep positive

Alcohol and Drug Abuse

  1. alcohol kills more teens than all other drugs
  2. death among 15-24 years old's main cause
  3. youth who drink are 7 1/2 times more likely to use cocaine than young people who never drink
  1. sudden change in behavior
  2. mood swings
  3. withdrawal from family members
  4. careless about personal grooming
  1. go see a medium
  2. rehab
  3. try surrounding yourself around positive energy
  4. talking with a family member

texting and driving

  1. at least 23% of accidents involved cell phones
  2. 5 seconds is all it take to crash
  3. 13% of drivers age 18-20 admit texting while driving
  1. Put phone away while driving
  2. LEt the passenger text for you
  3. get a blutooth


when some one or a group of kids pick on another

statistics :

  1. 19.6% of high school students in the US report being bullied at school in the past year. 14.8% reported being bullied online
  2. 64 percent of children who were bullied did not report it; only 36 percent reported the bullying

  1. dont be a bystander
  2. if you see someone being bullied help them or get help
  3. tell someone older
  4. if you are a bully figure out whats your issue
