What Reading Means to Me Essay Contest

The DeKalb Reading Council is once again sponsoring the Georgia Reader of the Year (ROY) contest through the Georgia Reading Association.

Any student may apply, but each application must include a teacher recommendation.

All Entries Due - December 19, 2014

Submissions should be sent to Ms. Davetta Grigsby, Co-President of the DeKalb Reading Council, at Cedar Grove Elementary School. If you have any questions, contact Ms. Davetta Grigsby at extension 4-3902. Local winners will advance to the state level contest.

Reader of the Year – Primary (PreK-2)

Reader of the Year – Elementary (Grades 3-5)

Reader of the Year – Middle School (Grades 6-8)

Reader of the Year – High School (Grades 9-12)

The Lindy Lopez-Butner Award (ELL Students)
