MIDDLE SCHOOL YEARS
Happy Friday Falcon Families!
To say this has been a crazy year, would be an understatement. With that said, we want to acknowledge our Student Athletes of the Year! Please take a look below at some of our amazing athletes that have been chosen for this prestigious award!
THIS WEEK IS IT!!! As a reminder, we are extending the yearbook sale starting on Monday, June 15th to Friday, June 19th. Distribution of yearbooks will happen once we are back in the school building. Those students that have moved up to high school will receive theirs at OHS.
THIS IS TRULY THE LAST SALE!!! See below in the forum for more details.
As a reminder
Report cards for 2nd semester:
Students' final reported letter grade will be the first semester grade. Due to the untimed closure, and the inability to guarantee access to all students, no letter grades will be reported for second semester.
Report cards will include a statewide indicator of the impact of the COVID-19 school closure for second semester
Teacher comments will reflect learning prior to the closure as well as interaction between students and their teachers during the period of remote continuous learning
ITEM PICK UP:
If you didn't come in this week to pick up your items, do not worry. Items will be held over the summer and made available for pickup in the fall. Nothing is being thrown out.
If you are eligible for free or reduced meals, you can apply for grocery assistance through the Emergency School Meals Program. Details below.
Chromebook return will be coming up as well. Dates and times are below.
Last but not least. Below you will find the map for a reverse parade and details for you to drive by our teachers and wave goodbye to this year. We would love to see as many students as possible next Friday.
Until we see you again (hopefully Friday)....Stay safe and healthy Falcons!
Orting Middle School Student-Athlete of the Year Awards
OMS has traditionally passed out an award to the 7th and 8th grade Boy and Girl Student Athlete of the Year. As part of this recognition, we have honored the top 5 students in each category, as well as an overall winner.
This year was tricky, as we didn't get to have our 4th sport season. We had sign ups for those seasons, but we didn't get to see what team kids would have made and how their season would have gone.
Because of the unusual circumstances, we decided to recognize the Top 5/6 for each division, but we are not choosing an overall winner. We did not feel it was fair to make this distinction without the last sport season.
Please join the OMS Coaching Staff in Honoring the Following Student Athletes.
