Ackerman Chronicle
Special Edition | May 15, 2020
The Ackerman Center is currently accepting applications to support graduate student participation in online, virtual, or other types of research in Holocaust Studies and related fields from the Istvan and Zsuzsanna Ozsváth Research Fund, the Max and Florence Wolens Research Fund, and the Herman Abrams Research Fund.
For the sake of community safety and based on the latest guidelines from the CDC, UT Dallas has suspended all University-related international travel for students and employees for the rest of the calendar year. University-related domestic travel is also suspended until further notice. As a result, we will not be supporting any student travel until further notice.
Applications should include:
- One-page cover letter stating the purpose and nature of your request and the relevance that it has to your studies.
- A brief CV
- Estimated expenses for any virtual conferences, online instruction, or other research-related expenses that will be of benefit to your studies. If possible, please include original documentation of these expenses (letters of acceptance, registration websites, etc.)
- Any other documents relevant to the conference, workshop, etc. that you are requesting financial assistance for that you feel might help evaluate your application’s merit.
If these funds are being requested for the Summer 2020 semester, please indicate that in your request so that we may expedite the application.
The deadline for applications is June 5, 2020.
- Please email your application to holocauststudies@utdallas.edu.
- Applications must be received from your UTD email address.
- These grants will be awarded on a case-by-case basis and may vary.
