PRMS Blackhawk Bulletin - 2/22/2021

Thank you!

Last week was hard on everyone. Our community experienced tough times, and we came together, supported one another, and showed again why Pea Ridge is such a special place. Thank you to our teachers, students, and parents for your hard work and perseverance!

ACT Aspire Interim Testing

All onsite students will take ACT Aspire Interim tests March 1-4. These tests will be about one hour long and will begin at 8:00 each morning. Please ensure your student is on time each morning March 1-4.

Interim tests serve two main purposes in our building this year. First, they offer an opportunity for our students and staff to practice testing in the same format as the end of year ACT Aspire test. This will help us ensure we are prepared in April for the big test and can really show what we know, not get confused or bogged down in the testing details. Second, they offer teachers more information about how to best help students. Just like MAP testing or classroom testing, our teachers use all available data to inform how they teach and support students.

Due to these tests, we will run a slightly altered schedule that may affect student's intervention and enrichment opportunities. If you have any questions, please reach out to your student's interventionist or feel free to call our office.

Blackhawk Pride Award Winners

Here are our Blackhawk Pride Award recipients for February 8th-19th.

If you know a student or staff member that deserves positive recognition, please submit a Blackhawk Pride nomination form here:

We are partnering with this year, just like the Primary and Intermediate! If you have students at multiple schools, it functions very similarly for all three. To begin, go to and enter our school ID: 292184. Then send emails to family and friends to support your student. When they shop at qualified retailers, our school gets a portion of the proceeds. It's that simple! No selling, no delivering, just small percentages of purchases that benefit our students and staff. Watch for a letter and envelope to come home with your student this week.
