Internet Resource Permission Form

Be law, schools are required to acquire permission from families in order for their student to gain access to Internet based or electronic educational resources. Because of this, you should find a permission form in your students Thursday folder. Stating that you give your permission does not relieve our responsibility of guiding and monitoring your student as they navigate through educational resources. If you should have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to Debbie Alexander-483-2242 X 31 or dalexander@rnesu.org

Another amazing trunk or treat for Pittsford! We had around 150 kids go through the trunks. Thank you Pittsford Fire department, Pittsford first response, Pittsford Police department, Vermont Police academy cadets, and Furnace Brook Wesleyan Church. Thank you to the Pittsford Recreation department for hosting. Thank you to all the families that decorated trunks! And thank you to Gecha Fuels, Lake Sunapee Bank, Alison Rogers, and Margaret Daly for donating candy. Also VT Honey Company for donating honey sticks. See you next year!

Kindergarten Goes to Winslow Farm

On a damp afternoon in October, Kindergarten students put on boots and pulled up hoods and headed into the pumpkin fields at Winslow Farm. During the tour, students learned about the life cycle of a pumpkin from Andrea Winslow. Students also enjoyed a yummy snack of energy balls they'd made at school and played Squirrels and Trees in the barn. The Winslows generously gave each student their own pumpkin to take home. They followed up with a Pumpkin Investigation of attributes and measurement in the classroom before bringing the pumpkins home.

  • If 50% or more of families participate in at least ONE fundraiser the PTO will purchase something new for the playground! Please, choose at least one of the fabulous fundraisers we are doing and sell away!
  • All checks should be made out to Lothrop PTO.
  • All fundraisers will bring in 30-50% profit!

The PTO would like feeback from the Lothrop Community on whether they are interested in PTO meetings on Facebook Live or would rather get unapproved minutes sent electronically to keep folks informed on what is happening in the PTO? Please feel free to contact any of the officers or lothroppto@rnesu.org

Amazon Smile- It is "Wicked" easy!

Did you know that the Lothrop PTO is a charitable organization on AmazonSmile?

AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon that lets you enjoy the same wide selection of products, low prices, and convenient shopping features as on Amazon.com. The shopping experience is identical to Amazon.com with the added benefit that the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price from eligible AmazonSmile purchases to charitable organizations selected by customers.

No need to create a new Amazon account, simply go to smile.amazon.com and search “Pittsford Parent-Teacher” and login to your existing account. This is an extremely easy way to support Lothrop students. With the holidays quickly approaching we hope all who utilize this shopping site will connect with us on AmazonSmile so we can reap the benefits this site has to offer. Thank you!
