Our Vision
Our Lady of Fatima Palmyra is a Catholic School that aspires to provide a respectful, secure and caring learning environment where our community is committed to following the teachings of Jesus.
From the Principal
Dear Parents,
The staff have had a difficult fortnight at school, with Tracy Fic’s devastating news which was shared with our broader community last Monday. It is always difficult when people close to us experience such a loss and all we can do is be there to support and enable them to gain strength from our friendship and love. Tracy is very close to all the staff here at Our Lady of Fatima, and all the families as well. She has mentioned to me how grateful she is for the love and support received over the last couple of weeks, so thank you to everyone for contributing to this.
Tracy is hoping to return to school next week, in the meantime, please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
Tracy’s Retirement
A few weeks ago Tracy approached me to tell me that she was planning to retire at the end of Term 3 this year. After my initial surprise, Tracy and I had a good conversation about her husband recently retiring and her wish to spend more time with family and friends in her “twilight years” which I completely understand and appreciate. The recent tragic news after Tracy had made her decision to retire, further highlights the importance of time with loved ones.
Tracy has made an enormous contribution to our community here at Our Lady of Fatima over the past 14 years and has been a significant contributor to the very friendly, positive, energetic culture that we enjoy at our school. She will be sorely missed but let’s focus on being thankful for all the contributions she has made and will continue to make to our school before we send her off in style when we farewell her at the end of the term.
