Why is it Endangered?
The Araripe Manakin is endangered due to an increase in development in the north eastern part of Brazil. People have destroyed their habitats to build pools and amusement parks, cleared their breeding areas to plant crops and to raise cattle.

What can you do?
As the species population decreases, the only way that humans can help is stop destroying their habitats. Humans are expanding their territory, destroying those of others and not looking back. The Araripe National Forest has put in effect a protection reserve for the manakins to hopefully protect what population remaiins.
