Arrival Procedures
Bus Riders
- Due to our buses now being on the first tier, buses will need to drop and go. We will be utilizing the front drive for this process. Buses will enter through entry #1 on the west side of campus and drop students along the curb strip in the front drive. The only other vehicles that should also use entry #1 in the mornings is New Mark staff to access the west parking lot.
Car Riders
- Due to buses accessing the west entry #1, it is imperative that our car riders’ approach New Mark from the east. They may come from the east on 106th Street or head south on Holmes. Cars will enter through the east entry #3. They will pull along the cones lining the east side of the building and dismiss their student once they come to a complete stop. Cars will then make a 180 degree turn and exit toward the east out of east exit #3.
Morning Expectations
- As students arrive via bus or car, they will enter the building either through the front or east doorways and do one of the following:
- If the student is eating breakfast at New Mark, they will enter the scramble area, purchase food, and enjoy their breakfast at a table in the commons.
- If the student is NOT eating breakfast at New Mark, they will enter the auditorium and find a seat to relax in until we dismiss students to their lockers at 7:05AM for a 7:15AM start time.
Dismissal Procedures
Bus Riders
The procedure will be the same as the previous school year. Students will head toward the east lot and load their bus. Buses will enter and exit from the east exit #3.
BUS PASSES

The parent/guardian must state first and last name of their student, the first and last name of the student they are riding home with, note must be signed and dated by parent/guardian. Bus notes should be brought to the front office 1st thing in am and can be picked up at lunch time by student. BUS NOTES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER 1:00PM.
Car Riders
The procedure will be the same as the previous school year. Students will head to the front patio to load their family’s car. Car riders need to come from the west on 106th Street. They will enter through west entry #1, circle through the west lot, pick up students along the curb strip near the front patio, and then exit through exit #2. Please all the way to the end of the sidewalk to allow for more cars to move through. Students should NOT leave other doors and/or cross the parking lot to access car.
Walkers and Bike Riders
The procedure will be the same as the previous school year. Walkers and bike riders will wait on the NE corner of campus on the sidewalk/grass near the auditorium. They will be dismissed by an administrator once the buses have left and it is safe to pass.
