SORA Sweet Reads

Join us this summer for SORA's Sweet Reads annual reading program. Designed to encourage students to keep reading all year long. SORA is offering a collection of free and simultaneous use juvenile and young adult ebooks (and select audiobooks) from May 4 - August 17, 2022. These titles will be prominently displayed in Sora so itโ€™s easy for students to find their next sweet read.

And if your students read them all, they can always check out more books from their public library without ever leaving Sora.

Accessing eBooks & eAudiobooks:

In SORA (, enter district's set-up code at the bottom of the page, then sign in.

  • Set-up code is dallastx
  • Student: Username is student's ID#, Password is the last four digits of student's ID#
  • Staff: Username is staff's ID#, using a leading 1, 10, or 100 to make 7 digits, Password is last four digits of staff's ID#

SYNC is a free summer audiobook program for teens 13+. SYNC gives participants two thematically paired audiobooks each week. Titles are all available worldwide and change every Thursday at midnight Eastern Time during the season. The SYNC program will only work with Sora, the student reading app from OverDrive. You donโ€™t need to be affiliated with a school to use Sora with the SYNC program.

Please note: If you have previously registered for SYNC you do not need to register again, just use the same email address in the app.
