4th Grade Program--Exciting News from Mrs. Gayle, Our Music Teacher
Parents,
Just a note to let you know that our fourth graders are preparing for their fourth-grade program “Music Changes Everything”. This program is for all fourth graders and will be on Tuesday, November 13.
We will be having two separate performances that evening.
Groups A and C will be at 6:00
Groups B and D will be at 7:00
Your child should know what group they are in. If you are able to help, we need tambourines. If anyone has a tambourine we could borrow for the performance please send it to school with your child. Put your name on it and it will be returned.
I appreciate your kind support in helping to make this a fun and exciting night for the fourth graders.
Sincerely,
Susan Gayle
Writing Gallery
Happy Fall, Y'all! To honor all veterans, our front hall Writing Gallery is showcasing poems and letters all about the men and women in the Armed Services. Each grade level was asked to write about veterans..maybe a thank you...maybe an acrostic poem...maybe a rhyming poem... The very best of these are now in the Gallery!
Congratulations to these authors : Troy Grove (K), Amelia Law (1st grade), Madelynn Bishop (2nd grade), Ethan Rojas (3rd grade), William Van Arsdale (4th grade), and Myles Spitz (5th grade). Their Veterans Day writings were chosen by their teachers to be displayed proudly.
One of our own paraprofessionals, Jan Hartman, has also added to the Writing Gallery with a lovely poem she wrote to honor all veterans.
Please know that we would love for you to read the wonderful work in the Writing Gallery whenever you visit Robison.

Child Find Information
The Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District Special Education Department provides educational services to an estimated 8,000 students with special needs.
Teachers, instructional aides, speech pathologists and related service personnel provide instruction and related services to students who have a disability. Students are eligible for special education services from the age of 3 through 21. Students who have hearing and vision disabilities may receive services from birth.
To be eligible for special education services, students must meet eligibility requirements as a student with an orthopedic impairment, other health impairment, auditory impairment, visual impairment, diagnosis of deaf/blind, intellectual disabilities, emotional disturbance, learning disability, speech impairment, multiple disabilities, autism, non-categorical early childhood, or traumatic brain injury.
Cypress Fairbanks ISD instructional arrangements for elementary school-aged students include in-class support, resource classes and speech/language therapy. Preschool Programs for Children with Disabilities (PPCD), adaptive behavior, and LIFE Skills classes are offered as cluster services at the elementary level.
In-class support, resource classes, LIFE Skills, adaptive behavior and speech/language services are available at all secondary level campuses.
Related services may include psychological services, occupational therapy, physical therapy, orientation and mobility training, school health services, adaptive equipment and special transportation.
Other special education service options include the Dorothy Carlton Center, the Adaptive Behavior Center, homebound, adaptive physical education, itinerant and on-site services to the visually impaired.
As part of the Northwest Harris County Cooperative for the Hearing Impaired, services for students who have auditory impairments are offered at Birkes Elementary, Hancock Elementary, Spillane Middle School and Cy-Ridge High School. In addition to receiving instruction at the on-site campuses, students may be served by itinerant teachers, speech pathologists, and/or an audiologist at their home campus.
Are you the parent of a pre-school (3-5 years) or school-aged child and have concerns regarding your child’s physical, speech, and/or emotional development? Is your child experiencing academic problems which could interfere significantly with educational success? If so, contact the Special Education Department at 281-897-6400 to discuss your concerns and learn more about the referral process.
Library News
Lending-to-Learn (Kajeet)
Students have been given the opportunity to borrow a district-provided Chromebook and/or a Kajeet hotspot (20 available daily). The Kajeet hotspot will allow your student to connect to the Internet from either the district-provided Chromebook or a personally owned device. It’s a filtered Internet service and will monitor and filter your student’s access. Chromebooks and Kajeet hotspots will be checked out from the library each afternoon to students as needed to complete assignments or work on projects. Students return the devices the next morning upon arrival at school. Please have your student pick up a permission slip from Ms. Wolfe : )
Writing Gallery
If you plan on visiting Robison in the next few weeks, please stop by the Writing Gallery in the front hall. Our third graders have written stories addressing the prompt : "Write a small moment story about a time in your life." We think that you will find we have some really thoughtful and well written stories on display!
These authors' stories are being showcased: Blake Johnson, Daisy Castillo, Emma Leach, Victoria Gomez, Madelyn Crozier, Maddie Bickham, and Raegan Miller.
We look forward to seeing you!
