MESA State Competition
Mountain Range had a great day on Friday, April 17 at the Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Achievement (MESA) state competition. Every student that attended earned a medal - what fun!
Prosthetic Arm Engineering Design Challenge (this is the event that qualifies to go on to national competition):
First Place Team - Michael G., Casey C., and Isabella S.
These three will be going to Utah in June for the national competition.
Speak Easy (A prepared presentation on the ethics, pros, and cons of genetic cloning):
First Place - Kara T., Jarrod B., and Sailor D.
Balsa Wood Bridge (design, build, and test):
1st Place - Joe H. and Katelin T. - Their bridge had a strength to weight ratio of over 400! The next closest bridge was less than 100.
Math Bowl Competition
2nd Place - Alexis S., Lauren C., and Stephen C.DECA International Conference
These Mountain Range students (below) have been competing all year and earned the right to attend the DECA International Conference in April. Congratulations!

High School Summer Credit Recovery
We're a Highly Effective School Library Program School!
The Highly Effective School Library Program Board selected Mountain Range High School as a Colorado Department of Education Highly Effective School Library Program School! This award is given to only a few schools in Colorado each year! Attaining Highly Effective Status is an honor that validates the collaboration between the library and classroom teachers to improve student achievement through quality instruction using Colorado’s Academic Standards and 21st Century Learner Skills. The Mountain Range Library will be recognized at a ceremony celebrating this accomplishment of attaining highly effective status at an official Colorado State Board of Education Meeting soon. So exciting!
