Last...LANDING:
- Respond to the writing prompt: Should you be given time in school to learn things that are not traditionally expected in the elementary school setting? (for example: learning how to cook, pay bills, or skateboard!) Persuade your teacher on why you should or should not have time in school to learn more about a topic that you are interested in outside of school. Remember to cite your evidence through the texts and resources from this week.
- Use your teacher's chosen platform to submit your work.
- You may choose to get creative with this task and perform or present your persuasive response instead of merely writing your paragraph.
- You may upload a video, present a play, sketch and use voice over, create a PowerPoint presentation, etc. to answer this prompt.
- However, if this is too difficult, you can always write it as you have been.
- If you choose another format other than writing, make sure you still have all the components of the OREO structure along with the writing skills we've learned (writing a hook, using transitional words, citing our evidence from the texts, writing a conclusion).
