A Message regarding STAAR testing...
At this time, no alternate locations or test windows are being offered for KOL students. However, we do our best to socially distance testing rooms, follow all COVID protocols, and we typically allow KOL students to return home once they complete testing.
For high school EOC, there is no option to “opt” out of EOC tests (for KOC or KOL) by TEA at this time.
A student who chooses not to be in attendance for testing will be marked absent according to the TEA scoring codes, and will still be responsible for passing the EOC test for graduation.

New KOlture Bands have arrived!!!
Be on the lookout for the NEW VEGAS GOLD colored KOlture Bands! These are given to students who follow school rules and also maintain our social distancing rules for the campus.
Recipients can receive snacks and/or earbuds when the KOlture Kart comes by your classroom.
Thanks for following class and school rules!!!!
For a student to receive credit for a class, he/she must attend class at least 90% of the time to be eligible to receive academic credit.
This rule applies to both online and in-person scholars.
Please log in at the regularly scheduled time (online) for each class; get to class on time if on campus. This will guarantee that the attendance requirement will be met.
KO KOlture Krew (Update)
Winners receive in their yards an awesome KOlture Krew sign to signify their accomplishment!!!
Students who receive these signs will be allowed to keep them as a token of the school's appreciation.
Klein Oak thanks its students for supporting PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports) on and off the campus.
KOL Student Tip of the Week (3/26/2021)
As a reminder, KLEIN OAK is a CLOSED campus. For the safety and security of all students and staff, please follow the protocols listed below:
1. Students are NOT allowed to leave campus unless permission has been granted by school administration. A pass must be administered from the attendance office so that campus administrators and monitors are aware of who is allowed to leave campus.
2. There are NO deliveries allowed on the campus from Door Dash or other delivery services. Students who are expecting items from parents/guardians must advise those individuals to proceed to the front office and check in with the school secretary.
3. Students who are bus riders are not allowed to leave campus once they arrive. Once a student exits the bus on the KO campus, they are to head immediately into the building.
4. Students are not allowed to go to the parking lot during the day to retrieve items from vehicles, unless permission has been given from the front office. The parking lots are off-limits during the day.
PLEASE NOTE: Violations of these protocols shall result in disciplinary consequences, which can include an assignment to in-school suspension (ISS).
