Dragon Digest
September 2020
Dear Annapolis Middle School Families,
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year and to our second edition of the Dragon Digest! The Dragon Digest is our weekly school newsletter and it contains the most up- to- date information for students and families related to school events and activities. A link to the Dragon Digest will be emailed to parents weekly. The link can also be accessed on our school website under the "Newsletter" tab.
To ensure you receive this important communication each week, be sure to update your student's emergency card for the upcoming school year and include an email address. Emergency cards can be updated during instructional material pick up this week (information on instructional material pick up can be found below). Only parents and guardians are able to update a student's emergency card. If your email address changes during the school year, please call the front office to update your information.
Our staff is so excited to partner with you and your student this year! If you have any questions or need support, please do not hesitate to call our main office at (410) 267-8658 between the hours of 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. You can also contact your student's grade level administrator or counselor using the contact information below. Thank you, again, to our students, families, and staff members for an awesome start to the 2020-2021 school year. Instructional Material Pick-Up
As virtual learning is underway, we will be distributing instructional materials that students will use throughout the fall semester. Students will receive materials based on the courses they are currently enrolled in. These materials will include consumable texts for math, Language & Literature, and may include band instruments and materials for encore classes if needed.
We will utilize our car rider loop (the second entrance on Spa Road) for distribution. All distribution will occur at the car rider loop. When you arrive, simply place your student's name and grade level on a clearly marked paper visible in your car window. Our staff members will prepare all of the materials assigned to your student and bring them to your car.
While our staff members are preparing these materials, you will be able to update your student's emergency card. Only parents and guardians will be able to update emergency cards. Parents and guardians will be asked to show ID when updating emergency cards. Please bring your own pen and remember that all visitors must wear a mask. All social distancing guidelines will apply.
We have identified several opportunities that families can pick up instructional materials over the next several days. The dates and times for each pick up window are below.
