4-H Enrollment Deadline - May 1
Time to re-enroll in 4-H! All youth and volunteers who would like to participate in the York County 4-H program should complete their online enrollment here: ne.4honline.com
The enrollment fee is $5 per member. Visit our website www.york.unl.edu for a link to the enrollment website and instructions on how to enroll. You are able to pay the $5 enrollment fee online or bring a check to the York Extension Office. You do not need to fill out the health information unless your child is going to a State 4-H camp. The official York County enrollment deadline is May 1.
Raise Your Hand Between April 1 – May 15 to Help Nebraska 4-H Win $20,000!
Raising your hand is as easy as 1, 2, 3:
1. Raise Your Hand: Go to 4-H.org/ RaiseYourHand to vote for Nebraska.
2. Compete for Your State: Raising your hand is a vote towards a $20,000, $10,000 or $5,000 award for the states with the most hands raised.
3. Pay It Forward: Tweet, post and share your #4HGrown support and ask your network to raise their hands at 4-H.org/RaiseYourHand.
Face to Face Quality Assurance
Who: Any youth ages 8-18 enrolled in Beef, Dairy, Goat, Poultry, Rabbit , Sheep and Swine must be YQCA certified.
How: There are two options: Complete online training for $12 or attend a face to face training for $8
When: May 23rd
Time: 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Where: 4-H Building
Reminder : If attending the face to face training you must sign up online and pay the $3 YQCA fee BEFORE the training and then you will pay Nebraska Extension- York County $5 at the training

Regional Junior 4-H Camp
Who can go to Jr. Camp? 4-H’ers age 8 – 11 from York, Boone, Platte, Polk, Merrick, & Nance Counties
Where is the Camp? Whispering Cedars Camp, Genoa, Ne
What will we do? Zip line, repelling wall, swimming, singing, campfires, crafts, and more
How to Register? Return registration form by April 27th (spots limited)
What is the Cost? $85.00 per camper (4-H council scholarship available to help with cost)

4-H Regional Camp Counselors Needed!
We are looking for 4-H members between the age of 16-18 to serve as Regional Camp Counselors on June 5-7, 2019! This a great leadership experience, all expenses are paid and you get to be a mentor to great 4-H kids from Polk, York, Platte, Nance, Boone and Merrick Counties! Contact Tanya if you are interested and she will share the online application with you! Applications are due on April 1, 2019
Big Red Summer Academic Camps
The 2019 Big Red Summer Academic Camps, to be held June 9-14, 2019, are just around the corner! New camp for 2019 is Animation! Also offered for this summer are: Engineering, Outdoor Nebraska, Unicameral Youth Legislature, Filmmaking, Teaching, Veterinary Science and Weather and Climate Science.
Big Red Summer Academic Camps are residential, career exploration camps held at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Youth will have the opportunity to explore the UNL campus, meet people from across the country, spend time investigating an interest or potential career, and have a lot of fun! During the week-long camps, participants will work with UNL faculty to explore the topic of their particular camp. After spending several fun-filled days on campus, participants' families are invited to attend a special capstone event where campers will showcase their achievements.
Big Red Summer Academic Camps are open to all youth grades 10th-12th including recent high school graduates. All housing and food is provided for participants throughout the duration of the camp. Partial and Full scholarships available!!! FULL SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE for the Discover Teaching Camp! Early Bird registration ends April 15th!
