Did you know?
Female students who take AP CSP are more than 5x likely to major in CS in college, compared to similar students who did not take it (College Board, 2022). AP CSP is an introductory experience designed to attract a broad range of students to CS, especially those from historically underrepresented groups. The course does not require any previous experience in CS and does not focus on a specific programming language. To learn more:

Registration will close February 15 for our newest cohort.
The 100% virtual pathway is open to any PA 7-12 educators who are currently teaching or will soon be teaching a CS course and are planning to take the 7-12 CS Praxis required for certification. Act 48 credit hours are available. Click here to learn more and register.
7-12 CS teachers: use this Google Form to tell us your plans for the exam and certification, and if relevant, request reimbursement. The form allows for multiple submissions allowing you to update your status with the exam.
- The form is also used for the reimbursement program. Reimbursement is available for educators paying out of pocket to register for the exam and/or apply for the add-on certificate.
Peer tutoring is available to participants in any current or previous PaTTAN 7-12 Pathway who are preparing for the Praxis exam. Click here to schedule a session.
Note: Peer Tutoring and Reimbursement may not be available in the 2022 - 2023 school year. These programs are funded through June 30, 2022. At this time we cannot confirm that the programs will continue past June so we strongly encourage teachers to take advantage of these opportunities before it's too late.

IU TaC: CS Innovations
The CS Innovations professional learning series allows TaC to explore foundational CS concepts and practices through model activities using hands-on resources that remove barriers for students with disabilities. The series will kick off on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at the Hershey Lodge from 8:00 - 11:15 am (right before the PDE Conference kick-off). Click here for more information.
Everyone Invited! - PA CSTA Chapters Statewide Virtual Unconference
March 19, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
The Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) chapters in Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh, Susquehanna, Longwood, Philadelphia) invite anyone interested in K-12 CS education to attend this event for professional learning and networking. 2022 CSforAll PA Summit
The Pennsylvania Department of Education, Bureau of Special Education is pleased to announce the fifth annual Pennsylvania Computer Science For All (CSforAllPA) Summit will be held June 22-23, 2022 at PaTTAN Harrisburg and online.

The request for proposals (RFP) for the Summit is open. Proposals are due February 21, 2022.
Nominate an educator for the Exemplary Educator Award.
In conjunction with the Summit, the CSinPA team would like to recognize outstanding K-12 CS educators for their efforts to expand CS learning for all. At the Summit, the three finalists will be featured in a panel discussion and the winner will be announced.
