Chapman Charger Staff Update
4/28/2019
Week #32!
Good Evening Chapman Staff!
Here is the information about the painting of the hallways and the classrooms as discussed at the PTO Meeting JUST IN CASE YOU MISSED IT!
* All walls need to be primed before painted.
* Maintenance will fix any cracks or holes in the walls- this should be put in as a work order
* All paint colors need to be approved by Leslie- remember we are not personalizing the classrooms.
* PTO is looking for volunteers to help painting- more information to follow on this
* Doors can NOT be painted
* All painting must be done after hours or on Saturday with approval and will not be allowed after 6/14 due to construction.
Here are the changes in specials that we had to make due to M-STEP testing this week...
Tuesday 4/30- Maher Music from 2:45-3:45 (Hickey will go to music from 9:40-10:30)
We are going to start cleaning/packing the media center. If you have anything stored in the media center, please think about beginning the packing process or marking the items that you are keeping. There are many items in the media center that do not belong. Any personal or grade level teaching materials that are stored in the media center will need to be stored in the classroom throughout the summer. All excess furniture (storage or extra tables) will also need to be put into classrooms over the summer.
If you have not checked out the furniture in Mrs. Petrone's room and are a 2-5 grade teacher, please do so ASAP. Your feedback is appreciated.

Formal observations: This week we will have a big push to complete the observations. Summatives are right around the corner as well. Look for a sign up schedule coming out this week. If you have any evidence you would like me to review, please have it uploaded to STAGES or turned into me by the end of the week.
We have just over 6 weeks left of the school year. It is a busy time and there is a lot to be done. We need to work as a team and help each other out. We will all have stressful days coming up. Help a team member that you may see struggling with kind and/or supportive words. If you need anything, please ask. The added construction is stressful but exciting at the same time- keep the end game in mind. We are going to have an amazing building to come back to for the 2019-2020 school year.
Our PBIS team was able to purchase and they are in the process of creating a calm-down basket for each classroom. (Keep drinking those ICE drinks) We also were able to purchase the materials to create a sensory hallway. This is very exciting and will be put in place at the beginning of next year.
Please make sure that your accommodation logs are up to date and accurate.
Special Teachers have Morning Duty this week! Dress warm and pack your smiles! We are the first people that students see at Chapman in the morning!
