Teaching and Learning Corner
This Week's Look Fors:
Instructional: Rigor: Ensure you are asking scholars rigorous questions that engage critical thinking skills. Consider the DOK framework from last year’s PD, moving up the chain of questioning from recall to synthesis and application. As you annotate your plans consider what questions you are scripting and how to build the rigor.
Culture: Positive Narration: Ensure you are using positive narration to help redirect scholars. E.g., “I like how Sean has gotten straight to work on his writing assignment.”
Encourage your family/friends to give the gift of travel this giving Tuesday.
All staff members are being asked to get five families/friends to pledge to support our 2018-19 global excursions!
