Planter Boxes A huge thank you goes out to local Eagle Scout, Haakon Fiedler, for his work to remove the planter boxes located on Belmont Ave. just south of our playground blacktop. His work included beautifying the area with some natural grasses. We are so grateful for the help we get from our local scouts! | Team Building with the Principals This afternoon, Dr. FitzPatick & Ms. Davis facilitated a Crocodile River teambuilding activity with all 119 4th grade students. If you have a 4th grader, be sure to ask them what allowed them to quickly get across the river. A couple of weeks ago, 5th graders participating in a cup stacking challenge. In the coming months, each grade level will participate in a different activity. | Report Cards The 1st trimester officially ends on Friday, 11/9. The district will email report cards to families on Friday, 11/16. |

Calling For Tree Photos
We love to see our students enjoying reading and sharing our One Book One School book, Wishtree! This is a reminder that parents are invited to email a photo of your child (or group of children) with a favorite tree. Please email your photos to omslmc@sd25.org by Tuesday, November 6 if you’d like them to be included in the slideshow of photos to be shown at lunch.
One Book One School
Students in grades two and three have been working on design challenges related to Wishtree during LMC lessons. Mrs. Watanuki, the Advanced Learning Facilitator, co-taught the lessons. She and Mrs. Brown encouraged students to think like engineers to design trees that could support animal homes and to create protections for saplings. Students have been practicing their problem-solving!
