Dinner Dance Information
- Dinner Dance- Friday, May 4th from 6:30-9:00
- Cost: $20.00 includes food
- Formal Dress is expected
- Our student handbook defines the following: must be appropriate for the age level, sufficiently modest and in good taste. Each school will establish guidelines for appropriate dress. If the student is determined to be inappropriately dressed, he/she will be required to wear an assigned shawl or “cover up” until such time as parents can be contacted and suitable attire brought to school for the student.
Modest and in good taste can differ from person to person, but here are some general guidelines for boys and girls:
- Dress or dress-shirt cannot be open in the front revealing stomach or belly button
- Dress back should cover the lower back to the mid-back (nothing lower should be exposed)
- With hands on the side, nothing shorter than the student's thumb (bottom cannot be exposed)
- Strapless is fine as long as the dress is not too revealing or hanging low
- Pants cannot be sagging exposing underwear

8th grade Awards Ceremony- Mark your Calendars
Students will know approximately two weeks before the end of the year if they will be receiving an award on Tuesday, May 22nd at 8:00 am.
Graduation Expectations
Graduation is a time of celebration but also a time for our students to demonstrate etiquette, poise, and maturity. Student and parent behavior at graduation is expected to be exceptional. We will not allow students to shout out and cheer for each individual student called and we expect parents to comply and follow the same expectation. Thank you
Participation in 8th grade Activities including the Graduation Ceremony.
- A student cannot fail 2 or more classes during the last trimester or overall and participate in the graduation ceremony.
- Students who exhibit poor behavior and are suspended during the last trimester will have privileges removed including 8th-grade dance, Great America and participating in the graduation ceremony.
