THE PATRIOT POST
Newsletter for PHES Students and Families
What is the Patriot Pride Award?
The Patriot Pride award is designed to challenge students. These goals are centered on developing strong academic and citizenship skills within our students. Students will choose 6 goals that they would like to work on throughout the school year; 3 must be from the patriotic category and 3 from the other. These goals can be worked on in the home and at school but must be quality work or it will not be accepted. The teacher or the parent can initial each goal as it is passed off. At the end of the year if their 6 goals have been completed, the student will be recognized for their accomplishments in our end of year assembly.
You can download the requirements for each grade level here.
Due dates vary depending on your child's grade level but most are in May so don't delay.
Throughout the week, students may get a puzzle piece from Mrs Jenson or Miss Leininger.
Directions: Make sure to put your name on your piece, and then draw or write about what makes you unique! What do YOU bring to our school?
When you are done, bring your puzzle piece to Mrs. Jenson or Miss Leininger - we will display the puzzle pieces together near the front office. Everyone is an important piece of our school, and we can all find ways to connect to others!
