Lots of News for Friday, October 15!

Dear Beck Families:


The UCS Job Fair is coming up soon. Want to work with a great team through a parent-friendly schedule? We have positions open across UCS for applicants seeking work that makes a positive impact on the future of our community! If you are interested in becoming a substitute teacher, paraprofessional, lunch monitor, bus driver, clerk, or food services worker, you'll want to check out the UCS Job Fair on Thursday, Oct. 21.


No cooking tomorrow! Our Beck Family Vounteers (BFV) will be having a Chipotle fundraiser this weekend, on Saturday, Oct. 16. The 23 Mile Road store will donate 33 percent of the sales from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. to the Beck Family Volunteers (BFV). To order online, or for pick-up use the code 2CB67M9. A second flyer is coming home with the kids today. Bring that with you, or simply tell the cashier, "I'm supporting the Beck Vikings with today's order!"


Please remember to mark your calendar for Friday, Oct. 29 - it is a half day. Students are released at 11:49 a.m. Also, November 2 - NO SCHOOL for any UCS student. It is Election Day.

Parking Lot Update

Parking Lot Update

Thank you everyone for helping make our parking lot safer and more efficient. It always takes time when we change up a system. I have been noting that each day, we've cleared out all pick-ups and bus riders by 3:37 p.m. That's pretty quick considering Beck dismisses at 3:30!


The engineers did build into the parking lot design an over-flow route, over by the bus entrance. Once the buses have cleared we can open that end up for cars to leave. If you do leave by the bus lane, please remember:

  1. There is only one lane out and one lane in (That is a change from last year's two lanes out!)
  2. Every car must turn right out the bus entrance
