Help Us Be Successful!

Elmonica Families,

We are looking forward to having your child return to school for our hybrid, in-person instruction. Along with you, our staff at Elmonica understand that although this instruction method will look very different than it did traditionally (Pre-COVID), it is the first step to “getting back to normal” and we are very eager for this opportunity.

While your child is attending, we ask that you support, and encourage the healthy habits and safety protocols that have been outlined by the Beaverton School District, as well our state. This is imperative for us to be able to serve your child in the safest manner, as well make headway toward allowing more students to be served in the building, and keep our building open, ensuring that the risk of outbreak and COVID exposure is minimized to the best of our ability. In order to do this, the district as well as our school, has outlined expectations of students and families returning to school. Please help us by working with your child and the school to ensure these guidelines are met.

  • When dropping students off, please ensure you are demonstrating social distancing (if walking) and encouraging your child to give peers six feet of space, as well as wearing a mask.

  • Please arrive at 9:00 am and pick up your child from school at 11:20 on time. Students that are not picked up at the end of the day will need to be supervised by staff members, sitting 6 feet apart until they are picked up.

  • Masks are required at all times while at school. That means arriving at school, throughout the school day (classrooms), and at dismissal. Refusal to wear a mask will result in a collaborative conversation with parents to figure out a solution.

  • Assess your child each morning for symptoms of feeling ill. If your child isn’t feeling well, exhibits COVID symptoms, or you have a family member that is ill, please keep your child at home and let the school know. Please do a symptom screener below before sending your child to school.

  • No food or drink is allowed at school. We will have water bottles provided that stay at school and are washed. Please encourage and make sure your child has breakfast before arriving at school. If your student eats lunch at school they will get a bag of food to take home each day with lunch and breakfast to eat for the next day.

Following and supporting us with the above will be pivotal in providing the best, and safest transition back to school. For more information, you can find FAQs on our district website as well as following the link HERE. WE can do this together.
