SWIFT WEEKLY UPDATE
November 1, 2020
A Message from the Principal
Student Pick-Up
Dear Parents and Guardians:
Our arrival and dismissal of our Swift students went fairly well during our first week of Hybrid School.
We would like to improve, therefore, those of you who are picking up your children, please follow this procedure:
First, if you plan to pick up your child every day, please send in a note to your child’s teacher stating that fact. If we receive this note, please be aware that your child will NEVER be placed on the bus, please arrive no later than 1:50 to pick up your child.
Second, if you are occasionally picking up your child, please also send a note on that day. Your child will be held in the office. Again, please arrive no later than 1:50 pm.
Finally, please keep in mind, if you do not send in a note and you plan to pick up your child and arrive later than 1:50, your child will have already been placed on the bus, he or she will not be removed for your transport.
Our concern is the safety of your children, thanks so much for your assistance in this matter.
Have a great week!
STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
VIRTUAL and HYBRID SCHOOL HOURS FOR THE WEEK OF November 1, 2020
HOURS 9:15 -3:30
SMALL GROUP INSTRUCTION/GUIDED READING 2:40 - 3:30
Establishing routines and schedules for your child will ensure their overall success. We want our teachers and students to follow a schedule that is very close to the schedule they will have when returning to school in person. Therefore, attendance is important and we expect our students to attend their Google Classroom daily. We will pay particular attention to the social and emotional needs of our students, building strong relationships in this new environment and ensuring their comfort as an online learner.
