Daisy Troop 2209

3/2014 Update

Hi Troop 2209 Parents!

Today, we worked on a part of the Girl Scout Law: Respect Myself and Others, and our girls earned the purple petal (the dark purple, not the violet).

We visited the Bayshore Animal Clinic today and learned about how animals are cared for. We focused on respecting other beings for the field trip part. The girls also were very respectful of the clinic and made thank you notes. Please be sure to read the story below to complete this month's review of "Respect Myself and Others."

Iron on the Purple Petal Patch: Morning Glory

Our girls learned about what it means to respect others, especially animals. They also wrote a thank you note to the animal clinic. They earned the purple petal. Please iron this petal on before the next meeting.

We did not get to read this story, and promised to send a link to the girls to read (skip to the story part). Here it is:
Gloria's Story.

Plus! Iron on the "Visit to the Vet" fun patch on the back.

The Girl Scout Promise and Law

The Girl Scout Promise

On my honor, I will try:

To serve God and my country,
To help people at all times,
And to live by the Girl Scout Law.

The Girl Scout Law

I will do my best to be
honest and fair,
friendly and helpful,
considerate and caring,
courageous and strong, and
responsible for what I say and do,
and to
respect myself and others,
respect authority,
use resources wisely,
make the world a better place, and
be a sister to every Girl Scout.
