Sally's Reign Comes to an End!
Sally Johnson is Retiring from Snowshoe!
Time for Goodbye
We know there isn't a family here, past and present, at Snowshoe that doesn't know "Ms. Sally"! She has been the face of our front office for the past 17 years! Sally has been the loud, smiling, larger than life front office secretary that has greeted you and your children every day in the lobby of Snowshoe! If you don't see Sally, you HEAR Sally! Her music is blaring, her laugh is infectious and her stories are never ending and filled with entertainment. That's not an exaggeration if you know Sally!
She knows your children like her own and she treats them like her own. She has formed relationships with many of you parents that have allowed her to interact with your child just like mom or dad would at home. Ms. Sally, as the kids affectionately call her, has in many ways been like a 2nd parent to your child. They find her incredibly funny and love to joke with her, tell their stories to, and she knows everyone of them by their first names! Her knowledge of each and every family is why our staff seek her out for information and advice when the need arises regarding a student. Whether that's insight into their living situation, family dynamics, bus or transportation issues, or the other hundreds of issues that come up, Ms. Sally is there to sort it all out.
Rest assured we will see Ms. Sally around Snowshoe volunteering or even subbing. She has left some pretty big shoes to fill and the search is underway so that we make this transition as smooth as possible. But be patient please because there is a huge learning curve ahead for the new front office secretary and frankly there will never be anyone quite like Ms. Sally!
Shower Her with Love!
She loves diet Dr. Pepper, bags of popcorn, balloons, flowers, plants, she does woodworking craft projects, mosiac tiling on frames, gardening, snow machining, her dog... basically Ms. Sally is an easy to please lady who loves people in general! A smile and hug are what makes the world go around for her... just be kind.
We will miss you Sally!
