What is chlamydia
Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted disease (STD). It is also a bacteria. To get Chlamydia you have to have sex. Sex as in anal, vaginal, or oral and the man does not have to ejaculate for this to happen. To get Chlamydia you have to have sex with someone with the disease. Chlamydia is a very common STD it can infect one out every fifteen sexually active females. Younger sexually active people are at high risk of this disease.
What are the symptoms of Chlamydia
Chlamydia is usually known as the "silent" infection because most people don't really get symptoms and if they do its like two to three weeks after they've lived with the infection. If you do get symptoms they will most likely be discharge from vagina or white dripping from penis. Even though you may not have many symptoms or any at all, the chlamydia is slowly destroying the reproductive organs. If this is left untreated it usually leads to PID this stands for pelvic inflammatory disease and if this isn't treated you could being incapable of getting pregnant.

How to prevent chlamydia
- practicing abstinence is the best way to stay away from chlamydia or any STD!!!
- having one sexual parner
-make sure your sexual partner has be tested and they are clean
- another good way to stay away from chlamydia is use latex condoms all the time during sexual intercourse
- get checked as often as you can
