Superintendent's Update
May 22, 2020
Dear Families:
Next week, our high schools will begin their graduations, which will be conducted in a manner that is different from any graduation ceremony we have ever experienced. These ceremonies will be held over several days in order to observe appropriate social distancing and restrictions but our high schools have worked very hard to make the coming days special. We look forward to honoring each of our graduates!
I am pleased to share with you that we have launched a Cecil County Public Schools YouTube Channel. Make sure to subscribe and check out the latest videos from CCPS. We will be sharing videos from across the school system. I excited about this new communication tool to share information with our community. Check it out HERE.
In this newsletter you will see a button to take the Virtual Summer School Interest Survey. We are planning to offer virtual learning opportunities this summer and would like to gauge parent interest, so please take a few moments to let us know!
As we begin the holiday weekend, I ask you to remember the reason for which we observe Memorial Day- to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives for our nation in defense of our freedoms.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey A. Lawson, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
