Cycle 1 Theory of Action

If we have consistent PBIS implementation, clear classroom expectations and procedures and strong standards aligned readers and writers workshop then we will create the conditions for student learning that will allow our students to master grade level standards.


Materials needed for this Wednesday's PL:

Please ensure you are on pace to complete Readers and Writers Unit 1 by the end of the cycle.

Important Information

  • This week during Library time. I will be meeting with teachers to review and finalize objectives.
  • We are coming to the end of cycle 1. Please ensure you are on track to complete Readers and Writers workshop Unit 1 and have completed and entered all F&P Assessments by Friday, September 22nd. Professional Learning the week of the September 25th will be focused on data review and planning for cycle 2.

This week we will focus on PREPARED. This a great time to collaboratively define what it means to be prepared with your students and to ensure you are positively reinforcing students who are prepared.


By Friday at Lunch, please submit two students to the office who exemplified prepared this week.
