Inauguration Day
On Wednesday, we celebrated the Inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Many beautiful moments occurred during the Inauguration that will be cherished by many for years to come. I was very excited to witness our nation’s first Black and Southeast Asian woman be sworn in as Vice President of the United States. I have always hoped that this type of change would happen in my lifetime, and on Wednesday, our country made another step towards having a more inclusive society. I have been watching footage of the Inauguration with my three year old daughter, and it feels good to show her examples of diverse women in leadership because this helps her see that her potential is endless. This is not only important for my three year old, it is important for our students as they enter a time in their lives where they are exploring their own identities and deciding, over time, who they want to be.
Congratulations to President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris!
Revised Plan for Supporting Quarantined Students
School Pictures
Currently, we are working to determine how many students still need their picture taken. Once we receive that information from Wagner, we will organize another picture day for students who have not had their picture taken on February 1, 2021. Another option that Wagner is offering to parents is to take their student to the Wagner Portrait Studio on Monday, January 25th, 2021 to have their picture taken. Please call their customer service line to schedule an appointment at 314-567-5900.
