Alkaline earth metals are elements found in the second group of the periodic table. Examples are beryllium, magnesium, calcium, strontium, barium, and radium. The alkaline earth metals are metallic and very reactive.

Uses of Alkaline Earth Metals

Alkaline earth metals are used in X-ray tubes, Epsom salts, marble, steel industries, glass industries, paper industries, metallurgical industries, antacids, toothpaste, chewing gum, vitamins, fireworks, as white pigments in paint, etc.
