Pumpkin Projects
I was so impressed with all of our pumpkin projects! I hope you had an opportunity to come look at all of the creations displayed for our 1st-3rd graders. Our classmate Sohum Rao placed 3rd place for third grade! Way to go!!
Make sure you check our our Homeroom App for photos of these awesome projects! A sneak peek below.
Please remember.... these pumpkins will come home with your child today. They cannot stay in the building over the weekend. When the air is turned off, it causes the pumpkins to decompose quickly! Please keep this in mind when picking your child up this afternoon. They may need some help getting their pumpkin into the car.

Book Character Dress Up Day
On Friday, November 11th we will be having a Book Character Dress Up Day to kick off our Scholastic Book Fair! Your child can choose a book character and come dressed at that character next Friday, November 11th!
Here are the guidelines:
- Must be a character from a book - not just any costume!
- Scary monsters or beasts are not permitted
- No masks are to be worn. Minimal face painting is allowed (e.g, whiskers, nose, freckles, etc., but no full-face makeup)
- No weapons or props of any kind, including toys

1. BOOK FAIR
We’re excited about our upcoming Book Fair (Nov. 14 – 18, 2016). Parent Volunteers will transform the Media Center into our very own book store. Students will visit the Book Fair during their Foreign Language and Language Arts classes.
There will be hundreds of books from new and favorite authors, popular series, cool posters, school supplies, and fun for everyone! Don’t miss the chance to light up a young reader’s face with a good book.
We need your help. We will begin transforming the Media Center during the week of November 7th.
