THE WEDNESDAY MESSAGE!
The Official Weekly of Salford Hills Elementary School
It is a season of thanksgiving, one that I would be remiss in failing to consider our own Salford Hills community. How lucky are we... and blessed. Thank you for walking side by side in creating a school where children flourish.
In gratitude and respect,
Dave Purnell, Ed.D.
Principal, Salford Hills Elementary School
Fourth and Fifth Grade Winter Concert Information
Dear Parents and Guardians of Salford Hills Fourth and Fifth Grade Students,
Our winter concert is quickly approaching! The students in band, orchestra, and chorus have been very hard at work preparing beautiful music. Please remember that our “dress rehearsal” (children do NOT come to school in performance attire – regular school clothes are fine) is Monday December 2nd at 2:00PM in the Salford Hills Gymnasium, and our evening concert is Tuesday, December 3rd at 7PM at Souderton Area High School.
Chorus members need to be at the high school promptly by 7:00PM the night of the concert. Chorus members will remain WITH THEIR PARENTS in the auditorium seats until it is time to perform. I will call up each row of chorus members one at a time, and students will walk to the stage from the audience chairs. Please do not sit in the mezzanine if possible. (All coats and accessories remain in their chairs) If students are in more than one group, they should report to the location Mrs. Gribbin disclosed to them at 6:30pm. (Either the Band or Orchestra room) There should be NO students in the hallways unattended. At the conclusion of the concert, students will be dismissed from the stage, or if they are in more than one group, the Band or Orchestra room.
Students should come to the concert dressed in performance attire – Black dress pants or long skirt, black or dark dress shoes (no sneakers or Ugg type boots, please) and solid white tops for all singers. Boys can wear a tie or bow-tie if they choose!
Please e-mail Mrs. Jones (email@example.com) with any questions or concerns. We look forward to seeing you at our concert!

Break-Out Box Mania Strikes Salford Hills!
Our Angel Tree is Empty!
If you chose an angel, here are some reminders:
Each angel on the tree represents a child who would benefit from our generosity. One side of the angel will have the age and gender of the child while the other side will have a number. If you wish to participate, please choose an angel from the tree and sign your name on the list in the office next to the angel number you selected. Please know that your anonymous gift (card) will bring tremendous joy to a child. All gift cards (just cards, no gifts please) need to be returned to the office no later than Friday, December 13th. Thanks for your support!
