Hello Centerview families,
Looks like we’ll be wrapping up the month of October on Saturday night with a spooky blue moon that will illuminate the night. From snow last week to a full moon this week…this year continues to stay interesting.
Spirit Week has been fun for students and staff. Whether that be Modified Campus or Extended Flex Learning it’s brought some conversation, smiles and giggles our way. Looking forward to Thursday’s Hat Day and Friday’s SLP Panther Spirit Day. So, wear your SLP gear or school colors of red and blue on Friday. When we’re not all at school together, we still want to connect. Share your Panther pride photos with communications@district16.org or using #SLPPantherProud.
You may have seen a message last Friday about students in grades 7-12 transitioning to distance learning. At this time, there are no changes at our school and no changes for students in grades K-6 attending in the Modified Campus (hybrid) model. We would consider a transition for K-6 if we were to near the threshold provided by public health officials of 50 cases per 10,000. Last week, Anoka County reported 33.16 cases per 10,000. As a district, we are meeting often with county and state officials to understand and respond to the public health situation in our area as we need to. We very much want to keep our schools open and we are hopeful we can, as a community, address the community spread of the virus in our area.
Stay warm and safe this weekend!
Learning together,
Mike
For Extended Flex Learning Families: Important Dates and Helpful Links
Greetings,
The sun is shining, the temperature is rising, and the snow is melting. I feel like we have just experienced three seasons in the last three weeks. What a year…
Our superintendent, Jeff Ronneberg, sent out a message to all district families last week about students in grades 7-12 transitioning to distance learning because of rising COVID-19 spread in Anoka County. There are no changes for K-4 students or any students in Extended Flexible Learning (distance). Our current classes, teachers and schedules remain the same. The support and flexibility that each of you continue to show is something the staff and I continue to be grateful for. Thank you!
Here are a few updates on things coming up and some helpful links:
- We will celebrate a Panther Spirit Day on Friday, October 30. We want to connect with the SLP community by wearing Panther gear or red and blue clothing. Share your Panther pride photos with communications@district16.org or using #SLPPantherProud.
