~Food safety is how food is handled prevent.
-That includes: Food preparation methods, cooking, chilling, clean, and separate.
Food Sanitation
-Food sanitation is the cleanliness of equipment and facilities. It is important for the safety of lab members and the preparation of food.
-The areas of food sanitation include:
~ hands
~ pots and pans
~ appliances
~ kitchen utensils
~ food preparation areas
~ food storage areas
Timetable
~Timetable is a plan layed out so you know in what order you need to cook and prepare so it gets done in time, and you don't run out of time.
Work plan
~Work plans show all the tasks involved in a project, who is responsible for each task, and when the tasks will be completed.
Collaboration
~Collaboration is a working practice whereby individuals work together to a common purpose to achieve business benefit.
Dovetailing
~Dove tailing is multitasking, doing more than one thing at once. For instance: washing some dishes while your food is in the oven.
Recipes
~A recipe is a set of instructions for preparing a particular dish, or beverage, including a list of the ingredients required.
Preparation tasks
Getting all the ingredients out of the cabinets and setting everything up and mixing and preparing it before you start cooking.
Pre- Preparation
~Completing tasks before beginning the construction of a recipe. Like making a grocery list and making sure you have everything you need at least a day before you start preparing.
